after today i have nothing but admiration for people with immaculate gardens. an entire day of yard work, my body is screaming, and the yard still really looks kind of bad.

That + keeping away animals who attack or steal garden food. Respect to gardeners
Never had a problem with that thankfully. I think the squirrels in my yard find enough pizza crusts etc. that they don't bother my veggies
It is fr so exhausting!! I just do some weeding and I am in pain!!
stop the pizza crusts made me cackle 😭
Just remember it always looks worse before it looks better! (mine has been looking worse for nearly 6 years)
