Best Son has the same complaints about his friend group being socially flaky but calling it self-care and setting boundaries. He's a different generation, though (he's in his very late 30s). Oh man, I used to live in Berlin and I really miss the kebab shops!

Just a bunch of book progress updates. I'm overdue for a blog post but things have been pretty busy recently.

Blog post about going to my first ever music festival (I had fun!)

Kudos for not dying of exhaustion at the festival. I don't think I could handle it! Viagra Boys are SO fun live. I saw them last summer and it was excellent

They're so good!!! I'd definitely love to see them again but it sounds like they're taking a break from touring for a bit soon (Seb said they had been "on tour for 28 years")

BABY'S FIRST FESTIVAL!! You were so prepared! It sounded like a great time. I've been meaning to get into Amyl and the Sniffers and just realized they are not in my spreadsheet so I have fixed that.

@distillation They're a really fun band! "You Should Not Be Doing That" is probably my favourite song of theirs, if you want a starting point.

I used to play Magic the Gathering with the family. It was fun! My mom-in-law would act like a sweet little old confused lady, ask my son about something on the cards and then wallop people to death with her red Shivan dragons. Good times!

Oh, and also, glad to hear of another parent whose game philosophy with their children was no mercy. I *never* threw a game with my son. If he didn't win then he had to "git gud, scrub."
