ooh nice! I was hoping to add parallaxing to my shrines page but immediately got confused and left it until "later" (never). maybe I'll give it another go soonish, looking forward to the Halloween page! :D

those super cheap facepaint kits! the ones with paint that had basically no coverage and the sponge that would scratch the fuck out of your face lmao
halloween parties when i was in elementary school :-) we would always watch that one peanuts halloween special and eat candy and chill in our costumes lmao. also, i used to trick or treat with my neighbors, and we would always do a big candy trade afterwards !!
the school decoration!!! like the paper pennants and plastic pumpkins they threw around the place. also watching over the garden wall since i've only allowed myself to watch it over the spooky season lol :-]
my mom and i used to spend hours preparing our costumes the day before to wear them to school / work, and would wake up at 5am together to do eachothers makeup (i was in 3rd grade, so her make up was poorly but she wore it anyway)
Idk if other ppl had this, but my small town had this thing where the kids would wait in one giant line and slowly get candy from all the stores in town.
for sure overdone graphics and early 2000s feels that you see on discount halloween costume packaging, think spirit halloween or party city :)
The smell of cold air on Halloween is SO nostalgic. It was always 50/50 weather there was snow or not on Halloween for me growing up
at my elementary school, we used to do little parades with all the students throughout the courtyard that the parents and families would come watch !! also, those mcdonald's halloween buckets :)
