i love how minimalistic your site is, strangely it is very calming, like i'm in a museum lobby. i really like "so loud" and i resonate a lot with your rationale behind making your site!! i relate to the desire to create and present a body of work just to prove to yourself you can do it, whether it's perfect or not.

i do consider playlist curation to be a talent or a skill not solely because it requires good taste in music but because it requires theory of mind and in some cases an understanding of narrative. you have to be able to ask yourself "would this character listen to this?" "would it make sense for a song like this to be featured in this genre of movie?" i also find it important that songs flow naturally into one anothe

i often connect what im reading with what im listening to. "hideous towns" by the sundays is an edward nashton song. "maggots for brains" by olivia rodrigo is an ivy/harley song (at least in the comic i'm reading right now). FRANCES AND BERNARD is inseparable from LA LA LAND to me. etcetera

i make a lot of reading playlists mostly for assigned readings. i've made one for LADY SUSAN, M. BUTTERFLY, FRANCES AND BERNARD, SENSE AND SENSIBILITY, CAN'T STOP WON'T STOP, and ZONE ONE. maybe i'll make pages for these.
