i realise now that sounds disingenuous. you legitimately do not need to wash commercial white rice, its safe to cook it straight from the sack. the arsenic levels are in the actual plant itself and washing doesnt do jack shit to remove it, removing the outer bran shell gets rid of most and the steaming process removes a lot too. but like its just In the rice as part of the growing process.
