i've been telling my friends that, despite the whinging, i enjoyed reading these books the same way you enjoy running for exercise. yk, absolutely fucking miserable during it and wondering when it's appropriate to cut it short, but by the time you get it over with, it's like "wow. i'm glad i did that actually, it was fun :)" except unlike running, this does absolutely nothing to improve my quality of life

@crverave it's such a fun hobby!! you should absolutely look into it if you like mail exchange, it's such a delight receiving surprise mail that i'm not expecting!!
at perfect time! we're just gonna start preparing bone remains for the first time (and thanks for the advice and resources you shared!) so it's good to read such things to get our feelings in place, to make them support our knowledge instead of standing in a way of it. especially given it's a recently deceased animal, almost looking like she's asleep.
