I'm around 70% done with fully moving the website. Once I will be finished, I will change this page with a link to the website and some infos.
I am very glad I moved, I prefer the new direction I took for the website and even though it is a lot of work to change my own mistakes and CSS stuff, I keep learning every day. The website traffic is now stable and it went down to a real human number.

This is exactly why I left the previous TLD provider to go to porkbun. I'm almost done moving everything from NC to NW, I'll just leave a front page here yes

I have been convinced by a very good friend to keep this front page open. I will most likely close the "profile" but this page will be reworked to act as a secondary entrance to the website and to keep the bridge for all my Neocities friends so it's not completely lost.

Also be aware that AI crawlers are having a field day with Neocities, since the owner of NC is neither supporting or against AI, it will be like this until they decide to change it. AI bot do not respect robots.txt either so don't lie to yourself thinking it's enough.

@adhemara different reasons including the behavior of some users that act like everyone that doesn't abide to their standards are the worst people ever, the fact that neocities seems to be deleting several weebsites without warnings, the lack of user support, the fact that a lot of AI and scrapers seems to be interested in neocities lately among other things

The website usually has 200-ish visitors per day and for an unknown reaon, ~3600 on february 23. I'm genuinely curious about what happened. I'd like to believe it's some kind of burst for being featured on neocities latest updates during a peak of visitors but the reasonable outcome is probably bots and scrappers...

I think I had a pretty bit bump around that day as well, Im wondering if its just from a spike in ppl interested in neocities sites ???

UPDATE : I have changed the domain host, I will pay significantly less to renew the domain now. GoDaddy can burn their butts on the grill, they're really domain name scammers with shady practice...

I bought it on Godaddy because is seemed cheap, they have all domain names, today I have moved to porkbun (they don't have .fr tld but .club is available) it's significantly cheaper, I will pay half the price I was paying on GoDaddy.

that also confirms that a huge chunk f Neocities traffic isn't actually humans and I suspect that a lot of AI scrapers are having a field day with the content. The robots.txt isn't repsected, anyone saying it stops scrapers is just delusional. I still owe a lot to Neocities because it's where I started and grew up. I made mistakes but now I'm moving forward and I know what I want for the website and how it should be
I started in 2023 and I didn't knew shit. Now with three years of learning, apps, brosing and youtube tutorials, I'm able to do things by myself much more efficiently. It takes a lot of trial by error but it's woorking. Step by step. I wish more people hade websites, Neocities and Nekoweb are fantastic to browsee, I see so many things, so many point of view, it's incredible.
I'd like to thank everyone who took a look at my website even if it's not perfect, even if it's written in French. I am also moving forward from Javascript entirely, I have plans to make something that can be managed without having to learn a new language because I'm simply not made to understand JS. HTML and CSS, I'm getting better at it but JS is beyond my knowledge and I accept it.
