shotcut is what i’ve used for a very long time, davinci resolve is also a very strong video editor that is free too but it has a lot of buttons

if you only need cutting, this one is the best https://github.com/mifi/lossless-cut otherwise maybe OpenShot or Kdenlive

(alternatively, capcut version 1.5.0 if you can find it (and it can be found) was before the Subscription model)
