we got it around the 13th century from the french, and before that it came from Sanskrit. this is just a short history on the magical word of "orange" :)
the fruit came first!! orange is named after the fruit oranges because they're far and away the best orange thing. they're so good that we couldn't help but name the color after them. they're the best fruit and its the best color. hope this helps
