hello
been playing sims 2 again now that I actually can...made a household with versions of RRverse Ronnie!06 and Arlo and I'm having a great time. maybe writing of some sort coming soon? this is canon in that 06 is playing this game; who wants to enable me to write a story that's just him talking about a game he's playing while Arlo comments over his shoulder? (I have screenshots but not of a lot of the emergent gameplay)
I think all the File Garden hosted stuff I had to delete due to storage issues (mostly on the thoughts archive) is now self-hosted? Also fixed some stray links on Music Scene pages that I knew of, but I probably forgot something, so if you find a broken link, let me know what page it's on (by URL) and I'll fix it.

Also, the Neopets backgrounds have been compressed down to 500 megs so will remain on File Garden for the foreseeable future. I don't think there's any noticeable quality drop, but the originals are on Mega as always

I am not winning the bandwidth + storage reverse dick measuring contest, but (a) I think my site is much larger on content than most Neocities-es, (b) it's an archive for me and keeping everything in one place makes it easier to backup / rehost, (c) my files are already compressed; there are just a lot of them hence why utilities don't do much [I tried] and (d) the only (falling in) reverse dick I care about is mine

the compression utilities I've tried have only been able to reduce my site size by like 30% at most which is not worth the time they take and reuploading everything. because this site is a combo archive for me and resources for others, I don't want to sacrifice quality. if I ever run out of space I'll move to a real server but I don't think that's likely; I've got a lot of files but even the vids are tiny.
aww, thank you. But, like, I am not "good" at coding by Neocities standards -- JS and I don't get along, and I can and will use tables, center tags, and other "invalid" HTML because it works and looks acceptable on all my devices. My source code is for me. If anyone else gets something from it, neat.
