good news, it's actually pretty good. wouldn't call it "metalcore" exactly, but it's punk with thrash metal-esque instrumentation and vocals and some light hardcore influence. the whole album's 25 minutes long, so check it out; it won't overstay its welcome and nobody deserves to be forgotten. plus you can namedrop it and prove how indie you are

Leet speak is a valid art form when used sparingly for emphasis. However, just like you shouldn't write all your messages in all caps or as glitter GIFs, you shouldn't apply a "typing quirk" to everything you write. If you must, please provide a toggle for translation. Or at least don't use the "quirk" or flashing graphics on your landing page.

You can do what you want. Your website is yours. But do keep in mind that you are not on a closed groupchat. If you want to communicate that you value self-expression over disabled folks being able to read your text, fine. If you don't, perhaps reconsider? I like some leet speak and flashy graphics in moderation, but you should have a landing page without those elements so as to not be actively hostile.

if you do it i think its fine but calling it what its not and not just something you do because you dont care and want to is wrong. Ive seen people freak out because [people wont tske them seriously. its not a "quirk" you were not born with a randomly generated quirk that forces you to type with numbers it is jjst something you do because you enjoy doing it

I acquired Bloody Kiss at a thrift store, and from what research I could do on this band, it sounds like the sort of thing I would really enjoy. The EP is the only other documented output, so I would like to find it to assess if possible, and since it doesn't seem to be anywhere online, archive it for posterity. So, if you've got a pirated copy lying around your hard drive, please email it to me!

I think I might have found a track that could have been on this EP and/or who it released under -- "Sleep It Off" is on Latefallen's Soundclick page from 2005 and is not on Bloody Kiss (2008). Searching that title, I found it on a list of releases from IDN Music. Unfortunately, the corresponding album is not on their list of CDs. (Which has not been updated since 1999.)

Also, mildly interesting historical note: this site modified no later than 2005 considers "emo core" to be a genre, but spells it with a space which I've never seen anywhere else. This does suggest it still being considered "emotional hardcore" with a space as of [whenever the CD list was updated, probably 1999]? I'm hoping to at least get an album cover to reverse image search.

The band's archived website attests a 3 song demo containing at least 2 tracks (Bottles & Hearts, which is on the album, and Stale, which is not), but thinks it's separate from the "new release coming out in fall 2003". Unfortunately, MP3s.com is not on Web Archive so I don't seem to have a way to download Stale.

I don't think "Conscience Called In Sick" exists, going through the archived website. What is documented, but doesn't seem to survive to be downloadable via Latefallen's own site, MP3s.com, or MySpace (but you could buy it for 6 dollars, which would be useful if we could time travel), is a 3-song demo in 2003 and a self-titled EP in 2006. So, open bounty for either of those. The self-titled EP has no surviving cover.

The 5 non-album tracks we know exist: Sleep It Off (was downloadable but not findable anymore. Can screen record from Soundclick), Not So Useless (was on Degrassi, reuploaded to Yewchube), Let Me Breathe, Bent (both on MySpace but not archived), Stale (on demo but not EP.) A reverse image search for the demo cover turns up 0 results.

The lesson here is that while I have 0 desire to watch Degrassi, if you're looking for mid / late 2000s Canadian alternative, the lists of songs they used in episodes aren't a bad place to do it. Mildly interesting if I run out of bands people actually sorta care about on the spreadsheet. (I have not yet started the expanded list; CDs come first.)
