Disabled the tip button. I didn't like that it was cluttering the site profile, and it doesn't change anything with art commissions. (I also might have to make a new Paypal account in the foreseeable future.)
re: comms, I'm also considering doing PWYW for everything just to get some action and petty cash; would anyone be interested in that?

I'm not planning to leave unless necessary because I like the Neocities social features, and I haven't tested this one, but re: possible alternative hosting, I found this via someone's site linked on FR: https://www.infinityfree.com -- 5 gigs free, "unlimited" disk space for the same monthly price as Neocities supporter. Supposedly supports HTAccess. Note that they expressly ban porn / NSFW and program downloads.

hey uh I know this has been a recurring theme this year, but sorry about the lack of updates other than the daily song: energy level has been really low and I have been stressed and busy on account of getting some bad news late last week.
got my creative desktop set up at least (business tower from 2012 i got for 25 dollars at the thrift store, now dualing win7 and linux mint on 2 drives). phone is still tba

NeOCities-tober is still happening. I can't promise much before then. Hopefully I will get somewhat out of my funk once my schedule and shit are more known -- this is even more frustrating for me than it is you, because I do want to get shit on my plans done. Meatspace life and having to pass as human just keep getting in the way.

aww, thank you. But, like, I am not "good" at coding by Neocities standards -- JS and I don't get along, and I can and will use tables, center tags, and other "invalid" HTML because it works and looks acceptable on all my devices. My source code is for me. If anyone else gets something from it, neat.

hey, I actually started using them a while ago, so I can give some insights!! I'm solely using their hosting for my guestbook (after some research I found out they were the best free option for php pages), they work ok most of the time, loading a few things (mostly custom fonts) seem to take longer than neocities and they seem to have outages a little frequently (they've had 2 or 3 since I started using them).
their platform isn't as intuitive as neocities but as a free user with just a single page it works just fine and the only real trouble I had was with their login connections.
oh i completely forgot about this. i used this before switching to leprd, and they work! they require you to be active to keep your account though but i dont think thats gonna be a big problem, but that is an incentive to keep an archive somewhere else too
