side project gained: archiving my tumblr blogs and maybe making them into quartz sites for archival purposes? mostly because my roleplay blogs are literally years old and hold all of sylvie's development + another handful of blorbos
(also tempting to make an obsidian/quartz site for OC info ... like yeah i wanna have pages on my neocities, but maybe an oc vault that's just markdown focused would b a cool extra ...)

... i realize it might sound like im retiring my blogs but im not LMAO its more i guess uh. having them as ... actual .md files? TumblBee is what im using, and the creator is still active and very quick to respond, so im trying to document any bugs that come up in my downloading (esp cause my personal blog is 14 years old, and sylvie's rp blog on its own has 9000 posts)

tbf i only did it using like… not obsidian’s .md files but like my tumblr export backups. its not??? well ok it is a little confusing but mostly in the same way 11ty is cause it works in the same way. not terribly hard to set up, just some console fuckery. i’ll have to play with it later!!!

i can give a shot!!! though its kinda like ... making a blog through 11ty but with some other weird bells attached to it, but i'll try to note down my process as im going through it. i know the creator of tumblbee is fixing some bugs i found while i was exporting my blogs

glad to know somehow my site loads on my ipod touch gen 5 i found WHICH I DIDNT EVEN KNOW I HAD??? so its jailbroken now. doesnt work great tho cause i think none of the javascript works for opening my site settings 🥹🥹 oh well, the fact it loads it is neat enough even if some layout stuff is fucked
(kinda makes me glad i put a sitemap link on the index bc otherwise my ass could not even navigate my own site)

This just reminds me I should really add the individual blog post pages on the sitemap instead of just relying n the js for it 😔I will have to get around to it
