my favorite "live laugh love"-type axiom is "say your prayers and wash your hands, 'cause jesus and germs are everywhere." what a lovely way to communicate that science and faith do not have to be at odds! i find it incredibly charming.

I did! :) Love opinion pieces that don't overshare (I'm a chronic overshare-er) so hope you keep writing. Working on my site now, having to dig up the ol' bits of knowledge I used to know in my sleep 20 years ago wasn't on my bingo card for this summer, but despite some frustration it's been a joy so far. while i obviously can’t understand the transfem experience 1:1, i think the reason i like learning about it so much is because there are elements with which i feel a lot of kinship as a masc-presenting person of color.

im pretty familiar with the feeling that there’s a kind of womanhood that is closed off to me and i have to settle for what i can get, and/or the fear that other women will view me as predatory or invading their spaces for minor (or nonexistent) infractions. to me it really highlights how stupid transmisogyny is. while our experiences are not the same by no means are these concerns alien to me.
i wonder how many words i've written cumulatively over the course of my life

occasionally i use this as a space to get out thoughts or observations i have that aren't quite significant enough to write an entire article about, but which i still think are interesting

aww yesss! the rector at my church was a NASA scientist for many years before she went to seminary, and she frequently includes Science Stuff in her sermons. :3
