Great post! I think we need to go back to thinking of the internet as a "place" that you go to consciously visit rather than being omnipresent. I thought it was an accident that this post was related to what I wrote today, but then I was jump scared by a link to my page haha

Really good stuff. And the quote from Psalm 62 is wonderful. I love the defiant Psalm verses.

@rainight it was a half-accident ;) i had this post as a draft for a while, and i put a link to your post about social media initially, but found your latest review more fitting xD

I think the mentality you describe is a great one to have, and it's one that I try to follow closely myself. Being intentional in my use of the internet is something that I have been increasingly passionate about. It has also made me rethink continuing my notes page and whether it would be beneficial to compile these short pieces of writing into a larger whole, identifying common threads and overarching themes.

Scary! I was just drafting something about being left handed. Yes! I was told I'd go to hell for it haha Nice to see a fellow leftie. Maybe we need a webring for it.

Nice! By the way, C23 has native booleans so modern compilers like gcc will yell about that enum

@rainight I see! i tend to code in C99 since it's very well supported, will modify the compile flags to enforce that :)

This is super cute! I understand what you mean about it being more difficult that way. Trying to depict things the way you want to within such limited parameters challenges you a lot.

@literaturegirl thanks! indeed, though it also makes it very rewarding when you're able to change the piece's entire look by just tweaking a few pixels :)

Your art reminds me a bit on how the Rhythm Heaven DS games' style, where they had thicker outlines for the exterior of objects, I like how soft it looks

@kunfucutsman good catch! Rhythm Heaven DS and Warioware DIY were some of my favorite games when I was a kid :)

Fun post! Stacks are really cool. Ironically, Lua's bytecode interpreter is a stack-based VM. So you wrote a stack-based language in a language whose bytecode is stack-based Isn't that funny?

i didn't think about that while writing this post xD just proves how capable the humble stack-based languages are!
still figuring out how mtpaint works
Beautiful view!
