sigh. head in paws. im asking you guys because i hate reddit and i hate stackexchange. any concepts for storing short stories on your site in a way that doesnt suck to read, doesnt suck to edit, and doesnt involve making ten billion subfolders? because all the ideas i have are shite.

UPDATES: changed some stuff about blaircliff's story - mostly completely cutting the timetravel shit and swapping some characters around. changed character pages. added RESOURCE LISTS to both Howline and NISCC, these are the real and genuine resources i used to research the folklore for this story! (hmu if you're interested but find the prices a bit much).

11ty? It can be kinda weird to setup but if you do it right, you could have your stories written in markdown- And if you need to change a bit of the layout/css, instead of editing every page you can just change the one template and rebuild.

I was trying to solve this on my site (the Mount Rubicon thing on /main) by using JS to show as little text as possible "per page" so that people aren't overwhelmed and click off the page. All the text is crammed inside a single file so it is HELL to edit though
