i do consider playlist curation to be a talent or a skill not solely because it requires good taste in music but because it requires theory of mind and in some cases an understanding of narrative. you have to be able to ask yourself "would this character listen to this?" "would it make sense for a song like this to be featured in this genre of movie?" i also find it important that songs flow naturally into one anothe
