should i make a other's art page (since the main by-year gallery only has my own art and others art can only be found in character galleries) or would that be too self-indulgent...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nvk8V_yfR9c is a great starting point. It goes over basic hotkeys you use often in 3d modelling, and teaches good technique concerning how to make stuff look like how you want it to look. I still use the rounded cubes technique he talks about in the video

blender guru with his donut series is very good at giving the first steps into 3d modeling in my experience, like he provides the keys and tricks, plus you get a cool donut if you decide to follow his steps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-Xl9tGqH14 personally I recommend using the ico sphere and at any level of faces ur computer can handle (I do 5 if i want a smooth finish, but theres another function for that)

Also, here's a video on loop cuts since, for me, it was really hard to get an understanding on they work 😭😭 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXoxJK_Y6YY

If you already have some experience/knowledge of Blender's layout, these tutorials for character modeling can be very helpful !! This series by Imphenzia was the first series I used to get into character modeling and rigging, and I made my first character models using this series !! They came out very simple due to the constricts of his tutorial but it teaches you the basics which you can use carry over for future, h

more complex modeling!! https://youtu.be/eBOcbYHexAM?is=3v1U2QRzmhYxzvyS https://youtu.be/XkiWBSSuxLw?is=zjOKjxRxwxjRIISx https://youtu.be/yjjLD3h3yRc?is=7NVx8ajkG_Fe-s3C As for a more complex series, I reccommend this one as it's one I'm following right now to model newer models for my ocs ! I find it easy to follow and like a more complex, but easy to understand tutorial after going through the first series I sent

Totally reccommend this one after if you go through the first series first just to get your bearings of basic character modeling ^_^ https://youtu.be/qO3D7LuV3Ys?is=9XnQMNrzx1dvf6qr https://youtu.be/kssTxoyd_C8?is=an3n9B-QbvSUt857 https://youtu.be/JfuImB0_MrQ?is=RMy3Yhk1QS-cnZG3
