your jjk review is what i thought when i saw the anime lol. it was pretty boring since it copied+pasted the shounenformula (which im not that interested in), and it didn't help that i was only interested in four characters of the whole series which aren't as interesting in the first season(but get more screen time in season 2). season 2 is sure a 'power up' for the series and makes the narrative more engaging, tho :P
Glad I wasn't alone in my boredom lol. And yeah the jump in quality that I'm currently experiencing in season 2 is unreal, a lot more engaging for sure :D
