It's still funny that this was said when the EAAJAF were all about attacking civilians over "if you're not with us, you're against us!" mentality and so on. I find myself so fascinated by 60s~70s Japanese far leftism, especially the New Left and EAAJAF, and that alone is worth the studying so I can do good personal research!

As I continue to strive for a cute website, I find myself making simpler and simpler pages behind the scenes. I promptly discard them, for if I use them, one day this website might become devoid of all styling except for a max-width on the body and some colour on strong and em! Har har har! Oh dear. I will say it's not my fault that everything looks better in a serif font on a plain-ish background.

it's very common for men and women alike to have doubled-character nicknames that are the only thing anyone calls them by. The real problem with 鼠鼠 might be it's pronounced very similar to 叔叔, the word for uncle/men roughly your parent's age, and I suspect that no matter how hard you try to differentiate the tones, people are going to default to thinking you're saying 叔叔 when you introduce yourself...

You might have an easier time with 小鼠, but you'd still probably have to specify that it's "老鼠的鼠". single character names are "allowed", they're just not very common. 小+[some animal] nicknames on the other hand are very common. (Obv take all advice like this from a non-native speaker with a grain of salt...)

So it would make me "unc", as they say, (I am still more infected by the Net than I would like to be.) It'll be a while until I have to end up picking & sticking with a nickname, but thank you! ^^

I had a convention today. I intended to blog about it, but...I had so much fun with the idols and was so worn out after that I completely died and barely got pix. Maybe I'll talk a little when my professional coord photos come back. No friends and nothing else exciting... I got a signed CD from my favourite girl there though! With my real name so I'm gonna cover it with a random band logo when I post it here lol
