I got it about a year ago. I was working as a subsitute teacher at the time and on days I didn't work would just go to the library and watch the videos from Professor Messer. He has a playlist for test 1 and a playlist for test 2. It helps to play to your strengths. I've worked in print shops for a while so I skipped all his videos on print technology, but you can determine that for yourself. I will note however, after getting certified I never got a job at a help desk. I applied to a few places and got no offers. My experience as a substitute teacher ended up helping me land a job at a community college where I'm still working at today.

Don't forget to try classes in other majors as well. I tried automotive, psychology, art, graphic design, computer science, astronomy, history, film editing, and library science, before figuring out what I actually wanted to do. I'm really glad I tried out all of those things and realized most of them were fields I didn't want to work in while I was still in school, rather then figuring that out after graduating.
