taking vitamin b i swallow it instantly pretending that i am taking a percocet it is the only thing that helps with the nerves now. after the accident. the rookie policeman sitting next to me looks at me, nervous. i avoid their gaze. "we'll be there in a minute" i tell them. inside my hardened exterior I feel fear. the suspect is armed... does this mean I'll have to wield a gun again? we pull up on the driveway...

i like being the only one doing a group project a little bit. i get to feel like i'm more hardworking than other people, and other people get to do nothing. it's a perfect trade-off, and all involved parties are satisfied

When I was fifteen, I went to Colorado in the United States for a vacation with my family. We visited a beef jerky store there with all kinds of jerky; alligator, crocodile, bear, I think. The man who worked there talked to my mom, and told her he was actually buffalo bill. She didn't believe it, of course, but he did a couple fancy tricks with his gun, just for showmanship.

At some point he invited her to take a photo with him. I held the camera. They stood and posed for the photo, and as I got ready to take it, the fraudulent buffalo bill pulled his gun out and pointed it at my mother's head. I was in shock, so I took the picture, and then he pulled the trigger. The gun revealed itself to be unloaded. Colorado is a miserable place.
