Just added a drop down list so that visitors can browse the blog by topic. Was interesting trying to think of a title for each of my posts.
As I understand it, JRR Tolkien was a contributor to the original version of the Jerusalem Bible (in English). It is a joy to read.
Ah I didn't know that. I have only read the extracts printed in that booklet but yes it is a very poetic translation. Maybe that will be my next bible purchase.
I'm referring to the original English translation, not the revised translation that was produced some years later. Tolkien was involved in producing the original. I believe it was published in the 1960s or 1970s. It's out of print now, but used copies can still be found.
