I've played it on both MSX and Famicom. Got cooked both times! (First Famicom game I ever owned, back when the only way to play such games in the US was with a top-loader and Gyromite converter.... dark times!)... And yes a lot of these old computers look like PHAT KEYBOARDS; a horizontal motherboard is under the keys and there are ports all along the sides/back. In America the C64, Amiga, TI-99/4A, Tandy Color, etc.

Am I almost done with Xak? When you move to the 2nd chapter, you can't revisit areas in the first, I HATE THAT. Xak!!!!!!!! btw there's a FANTASTIC "Xak Book I & II" on PC Engine CD. It does the same thing as Ys PCE, where the two games are combined into one with a cut scene bridging them. Sadly only in Japanese though.
