One problem that I've observed with music is that it is quite stuck in the past. (I'm in my 40s, so people should take heed when someone of my age, or older says this.) Thanks. I have really only been keeping track since 2024, and I only started getting back into reading properly in 2021. For ages, I didn't read much because of concentration problems. About half of the books are audiobooks, though.
I'm quite tired today. I sometimes get fatigue. Fortunately, I have done what needs to be done, and I've got a couple of Ursula Le Guin books from the library - The Dispossessed and The Lathe of Heaven. I will move on to these after finishing Twelve Months. I'm about three quarters of the way through it and it is still missing something. I thought that Peace Talks and Battleground should have been one book, but this?

The Thomas and Justine storyline is really the only thing that is holding it together (and so far, there hasn't really been anything of Justine), and everything else in the book just seems to be there to pad it out. I'm pretty certain that if it was an author other than Jim Butcher, I would have dropped the book by now. Mirror Mirror had better be better than this. Today, we got a new computer monitor and I was able to fix a laptop that has an issue with certain keyboard keys not working properly. The increase brightness button had stopped working and I accidently made the screen go dark, but with the new monitor I was able to fix it. We have a new keyboard so that solves the issue with the dodgy keys but after over a decade of using laptop keyboards, I find a desk top keyboard

to be quite clunky (and LOUD!) to use. On the plus side, though, the monitor is much larger than the laptop screen so it reduces eye strain so I'll probably use the monitor and keyboard quite regularly. I look forward to playing LOTRO using the new monitor because with my diabetic retinopathy issues, it was starting to become difficult to play the game.
As we will soon be passing the equinox, another challenge to my vision when it comes to reading is darker nights and shorter day lengths, increased cloud cover, rain and generally gloomy light levels. You might think that colder weather and longer nights would make me read more, and that would have been true before my eyesight started going bad. why the books at the start of the year were consumed in multiple formats. I will be getting a new light so I don't have to struggle with the over head light in the bedroom (it strains my eyes too much) and I need a better set up for the hands free magnifier which I bought back in May - I need a something flat to lay books on because the magnifier distorts the text in the middle because books dip along the spine.

I also need a better chair/sofa to use it as well because it's too high for the bed. Unfortunately, I've not been able to use it as much as I wanted to.
I am currently on page 4 of special sauce for the book tag filter, which isn't bad since the site is not very old, but it will probably take ages to get up there on the unfiltered page. Still not showing up on Activity, though.
I have got the layout done for the cd page, and hunted around for blinkies though I think there are too many and I'll need to split them up so that they don't become too much on the eyes. It's fun making a website... Now, I think it's time to listen to some Danielle Jensen...

I mean, OLD! Not bands from 5 years ago, or even bands from 10 years ago, but ones from the 90s and early 2000s. They are great, and we love them, but we need new bands and artists, too, and none of this bland, AI generated junk.
