I was addicted to the psp for days straight when it came out, and also toted it everywhere with movies to watch, like a miniature DVD player. Definitely was a cool handheld system.
you should def look at the PSP homebrew scene! i wrote about it on my feb. 2025 blog post, but it's such a relic of the past :) though, that might be bias bc i loved it as a kid LOL
i've looked at some of the scene, a lot of the homebrew is awesome (i used screenshotbmp to get the screenshots for this page lol) and ive seen a lot of rlly cool stuff come out of it (saw the recent psp homebrew dev conference, really excited abt game maker reengineered and renpy reengineered) glad to also see it hasnt been ridden with AI code as much as some other scenes have (still sad abt the dreamcast scene)
