got to have a go at some pinball machines at a game expo in glasgow when i visited there, ended up being a little obsessed with the rumblefeel of some WWE one hahahaha but id love a plain ol horse pinball machine even while i wasnt a horse girl as a kid

I got into pinball about 5 years ago, no machines where I live so my wife built me a virtual pinball machine for home. I had no idea how many people secretly liked pinball! All these lovely comments and one my favourite sites @Overclockworked is also a pinhead!

I have been reading about gardening and watching videos about bookbinding, and had to remind myself about the time I thought I'd learn to weave, and to make amigurumi, make my own butter, keep chickens, and... you get the picture! Obviously, deep in my heart I yearn to be a one woman artisan village >.<

@divergentrays I hadn't heard of this, thank you!!!! I might give this a try. Sending a SASE has a charming vibe, doesn't it? It reminds me of all the magazine ads growing up. I have heard of vintage starters that are popular with the community, like one from Egypt, etc. They say sourdough has terroir based on the air, which makes the idea of these starters a bit fascinating. Plus, special interest haha ^_^

lol yep... that swampy, terrifying substance is called hooch. I am super familiar with it because I'm a flake and always forgot to feed my previous starters 😭 I keep promising myself that I am a changed woman, and I shall no longer allow my starter to make hooch, but we'll see! If you give your starter's hooch a fancy trademarked name and a cool logo, I envision a healthy SASE demand :p

I remember working at Home Goods and my manager destroying things before putting things in the dumpster. Not just home decor, but gourmet honey, english tea, preserves, dainty little tea cookies. It made me sad then, and it still does. idk... kindness is as easy as sharing things one doesn't need anymore

a darling friend of mine used to scavenge the intentionally-broken b&b works candles and melt down the wax into tea cups she thrifted. she made so many beautiful gifts. I still have the candle she made for me-- a vanilla candle she found dumpster diving melted into a cutesy little tea rose vessel.
