reinstalling the newest update completely fixed it thankfully (like the repair version of it) but what the hell 💀

i’m having the weirdest old memory of back in the early 2000’s, i used to visit a tamagotchi virtual cemetery that played a midi version of an evanescence(?) song and i’d read through all the memorial posts ppl put about their own tamagotchis… i doubt i’ll ever find that site again but what a weirdly niche memory

ooh id love to join but im noticing that external links in some posts & signatures are being replaced with affiliate redirects (redirect.vglink.com) - even on the privacy policy/terms of service links in the footer, which is kind of super garbage. this seems like an intended feature of proboards so im guessing theres not a way to turn this off?
unfortunately intended. ive looked into it and the proboard staff say its affiliate link checks if they go out to their partners. sadly no way to turn it off
its also annoying as hell for me but i'm accepting the L on here for that (even if ublock origin is also complaining abt it)
