100% get the media fan impostor syndrome thing. to me, it gets to a point where overthinking about it wont help me in the long run. as much as i get bogged down and question my interests every time i see a 1hr essay on 'why x character is the best representation etc', these characters or series mean smth to me that no one would ever understand. im enjoying stuff at my own pace and im happy with it

Yeah, that seems like a much healthier way to think about things :3 I should probably be more focused on just enjoying media my way and not making it into a competition lol
id say dont go on sns too often or doomscroll on twitter, imo, information overload is probly whats causing you to feel that. having way too many perspectives all at once is not very good mentally
