Nice to see that game translation is still in the works! I'm really surprised that you coded the HVQ extraction tool in C++. Do you find this programming language difficult or not?

i've been learning c++ for about 3 years now and i personaly like working with it ! obviously (and rather infamously), c++ has its quirks, but i grew accustomed to them after a while by writing some smaller programs and even writing an opengl renderer with support for rendering textures and 3d models with assimp !

i think the difficulty in learning c++ stems from the fact, that c++ introduces a bunch of concepts exclusive to the language, like smart and unique pointers (which to be honest i have so far never used even once LMAO)

You even have coded an OpenGL renderer with features! That's really amazing. I learned C++ first, but, because I haven't found any uses for it, I switched to Python quickly due to much simpler syntax without type declarations, "<<" styled concatenation, and guessing how to make pointers to work. C++ is indeed quirky!
