as i'm over here scrambling to make the code work because i know the "you updated your site" thing is already on my feed and i don't want anyone to see my placeholder text that says "fwkfldsajgsdkc" as i'm trying to get to that part of the page and you may be asking why don't you use version control and i'm like shut up and pass me the wire cutter or this whole building will blow up in 10 seconds and you're like

like what are you talking about this is a website and im like i don't know what any of this does it's held together by copy and paste and prayers and whatever i learnt from ctrl+q and coding camps my parents sent me to as a kid and then i realize everything actually works and i've been reloading with ctrl+r instead of ctrl+shift+r like a fool

and then the credits roll while centerfold plays and meanwhile my website is leaking memory like a dam made from paper napkins because i don't know how javascript works

and my goodness is it fun

(who's gonna mention the CLI tool?)

this is how i feel every time i have/want to edit the live version of the site from neocities too 🥹
