I'm starting to use my journal in much more healthy way. I'm getting better. But I still have a lot of big feelings. My journal is a nice place to put them.

dont have a lot of words rn but your feelings on suzu+jack are very very relateable...I've also been through similar so just know you are not alone at all. the beautiful thing about making art is that each person will experience it differently, but that also makes it very terrifying LOL😭, but I'd say its very worth it. 🫂 if anything, you're also giving others the courage to do the same, and I think thats very cool

Thanks Blanki. It's relieving to hear that I'm not alone in these feelings. It is terrifying, really, knowing that each person will have a very different and unpredictable response, and there's nothing you can do about it but sit with it. I have heard a few times now that my crazy, open, and honest work has helped inspire others to be more brave with their own. And, that's really nice to know.

Sometimes the best thing to do with big feelings is to write them down or put it into art, I know I'm pretty guilty of that myself. It sucks that we have to feel them in the first place but putting it all into something else, showing personal vulnerable parts of ourselves, can touch others and help them through it as well

oh dude--first of all, thank you for sharing! writing something that's so close to your heart is SO hard! Fuck there have been times I'm writing for my story & I'm just crying along with it, but everyone's human experience is so unique & nuanced that I feel like sharing it is the gift we give others. That anxiety is real--but I think at the end of the day what someone else thinks is just that. A single person. Or-

-a couple. Even if the auditorium is filled with a handful of people that love it, isn't that fruitful & shows people went out of their way to engage & keep showing up? Also Twitter is Hell. Don't listen to those losers. They've got nothing else better to do then pick their nose & bully people. What you're doing is awesome & I'm so excited to see more of Suzu, Jack, & the rest of your colorful cast!

It really means a lot. @moon-room Writing out my big feelings through art and journaling has been a life saver over the years. @nogginzmart Yeah there's a lot of emotions tied up in episode 1 of S&J. I was feeling so many painful feelings while writing it. Those feelings are still lingering now as I translate it into comic form.

*INHALE* now the only the comics and authors notes load as a new page so you don't have to wait for the entire page to reload and watch the navbar animation again and again so it's way nicer to just flip through the page + there's a cool little opacity transition I hope you all like it!!!!!
