do any of you have favorite resources to hand out when someone says they're interested in making a personal site, but feel too overwhelmed to start? i am thinking of making my own guide, but would like others' guides to redirect to as well if possible. ( your own is fine btw )

almost at 50 members ... :') i have a "visit random gallery" link at the top, but i'm wondering if adding in some kind of randomized spotlight-type feature wouldn't also be nice, just to make sure people who joined early are still getting seen as the list gets bigger ... 🤔 [guy who is awful at javascript but loves scope creep voice]

also, let me know if you experience lag or anything on this page. i've taken some steps to help with its inevitable image-heavy nature, but i'm sure there's more i could do if it ends up actually being a problem ...

thank you for the follow!! you worked for national forests?????? that is SO cool ... i hope you write a bit about that experience someday, i'd love to read about it! and any knowledge you have about IDing plants ... i'm a rather junior naturalist, but i've had a great time paying more attention to & learning about the flora & fauna around me the past few years.

i normally recommend HTML for People, which i still stand by & think is amazing, but any other coding-4-beginners / how to make a neocities / nekoweb / etc etc type stuff would be great ... U_U i am also aware of sadgrl + petrapixel's coding webring & resources, but i am looking more specifically for tutorials & guides, rather than asset collections & generators. thankies ...
BroCode's YT tutorials have helped me out a lot personally! If you feel that could apply to what your looking for? (it more so teaches how html/css works, but there are some elements for teaching how to make basic website layouts)
