Hey, graph theory is beautiful T-T no I haven't but with how artificial neural nets are graphs it makes sense that the real thing could be modeled in the same way. I'm taking a reading course in July with my supervisor on complex networks so there might be an opportunity for me there :3 Thanks for the follow!! (love the vegan recipes btw)

Hey that's pretty cool! The 'oh no graph theory' was sarcastic just to clarify. I actually found it pretty interesting to read about though I am not a mathematician by any stretch of the imagination. Best wishes on your project 👍

thank you I like yours, it reminds me of a coding language (both visually in style / folder root format and aesthetically with the colour scheme). do you know monokai colour scheme? that's one of my favorites for coding.

Great band. I've seen them 3 times in concert. I also played bass guitar in a rock band in high school with an amazing drummer who was totally into Rush so we played a bunch of their songs. He went on to play for a reasonably famous professional band.

I think I first heard them on the radio with their Moving Pictures album. Unfortunately, I didn't really get to see them the first time in concert until their Power Windows tour. I love all of their music from Rush up through Signals, after that, not as much. They were always amazing in concert, though, no matter what album they were on tour for. One of the best sounding live bands I've ever heard.

I don't have any recordings of our old stuff anymore. I wish I did but it's been years. We actually made a demo tape of three original songs our guitarist wrote the lyrics and guitar part for...then we each added our own parts. Don't have that either anymore. :( I've moved around a LOT in my life and possessions go their own way over time, lol.

Neal took alot of inspiration from dystopian Ayn Rand novels, which of course inspired me to read them. Anthem and The Fountainhead were my 2 favorites. Anthem is short, about 100 pages as I recall, and was the first one I read.

Xanadu is a great song! I ended up reading Anthem and The Fountainhead because of Rush too. I considered Atlas Shrugged but it is extremely long and I struggled through the second half of The Fountainhead because characters increasingly went on several page ranting monologues. It's a shame your recordings weren't saved - do you still play? Maybe you can make some new recordings. :)

No, I haven't played bass since maybe my first year of college. I sort of picked it up because I wanted to play music and that's what the bands I played in needed (bass players were always in short supply). But listening to people like Geddy Lee, John Paul Jones, Stanley Clarke, and others instilled a love of the instrument in me. It's something I wouldn't mind exploring again someday. could have sworn i was already following you! well i am now ^^ i never got as deep into the research feild as you had, not going past a bachlors in chemistry, but the research competition put me off from the beginning :/ i feel like it leads to research teams fudging data so they are more likely to get published (which they need in order to make a living)

Hey solaria! I agree, actually I saw a case of data fudging and they got fired. But yeah, I focused the science page mostly on positive stuff because I don't wanna drag down the web with drama and sadness. I basically burned out and couldn't go on with it. There's a lot wrong with academia. I did really enjoy exploring the fields of psychology and neuroscience though. What area of chemistry did you study?

@pixelglade i didnt get far enough to get into a particular area, i was in my senior year of my chem degree and ended up dropping out because i couldnt see a future for myself in it. part of the problem was that i couldnt come uo with a research project. my gut feeling was to do something with colors, but i felt like i had so much to learn before i could come up with my own research
