I'm considering moving my blog articles to a new page, and keeping the current LOG section for micro-blog and stuff. I think maybe the LOG section is visually more suitable for shorter, less serious content due to its small size.
What do y'all think about it? I don't want to make any impulsive decisions XDD

Hi Daliwali. I just read your Buddha trap essay and had one question.

In it you state this, do you believe this on a broad level, including if the meditation does not have the goal of "enlightenment"? Personally I have found that if I spend some time meditating in a day that the mindfulness allows me to just in general make better decisions and feel a bit better.

secular mindfulness is harmful in another way, but it is still evil. the 15 minute mindfulness sessions that the western mental health experts tout, is all in service of you becoming a more efficient worker bee who is not too stressed to return to work and it costs nothing but time, that is all. it is like praying to allah 5 times a day, it is not the God part that is load bearing but giving you a brief respite.

Just because the spread is malicious, does that make the act itself harmful? I feel like if it has genuine benefits that the reason it is suggested isn't as important. I agree with numerous of your criticisms of modern society. I am not suggesting meditation as a cope, the opposite. I believe if one is mindful that they have the ability to escape the drone of daily life and possibly think beyond it to an extent.

Think beyond as in realize that they are stuck and possibly end up taking action. I understand that 99% of people who "meditate" will not do this, but I feel that without being self-aware and or mindful it is practically impossible.

i am not asking for anyone to take any action, there is none to be taken (for now at least). there is actually not really an escape from the drone of daily life, this is all there is, whether you are rotting in prison or hedonicmaxxing buddha, the body will adjust to any baseline. there are no utopias to be had, i am not saying a better world is not possible, but it will not be reached through meditation.

Your photography is so lovely! I love birdwatching, and I know it can be difficult to take such detailed photographs of birds. Nice backpack, too — Osprey and REI in general shocked me with their warranty systems. Whenever I worked as a wilderness survival guide in America I finally invested in an Osprey Tempest for my day hikes and I've been loving it ever since. :^)

I really like how you've decided to organise your reading list, too. It's very minimalistic whilst still having just enough careful formatting to be very readable. I've found that balance can seem sort of difficult to achieve sometimes. Took a deeper look through your links page, also; there are some great resources in there. Thanks for sharing!

exhibit 32 of people finding my posts only via neocities updates LMAO also yeah it looks like prison food but honestly wasnt so bad. i added the cinnamon purely for the shits and i didnt feel it at all because the Gourmet s&s sauce completely masked it. the cauliflower was objectively bland tho

i always found it so funny how many languages use "left-handed" as an adjective for a clumsy person. hello? i only drop or break things as often as any other guy!
Have you ever tried using a fountain pen? I love them (and am planning on writing a review of my favourite for my site soon), but I've heard left-handed people often have difficulty with them due to the slower ink drying times. I think they make special nibs that are supposed to help somewhat, but not sure how they work.
@literaturegirl I haven't. I prefer pencils because I like the privilege of erasing (and my handwriting sucks) My native language is right-to-left so I imagine fountain pens aren't very popular here.
