That makes a lot of sense actually! farmersmanual looks to take a lot of design inspiration from the brutalist design aesthetic, which inspires a lot of what I do!

The Ghost in the Shell anime and animated films were my first strong connections to all things Cyberpunk, so Inner Universe and Rise are quintessential cyberpunk music for me. Thank you for the follow and your site is AMAZING! I love the mixed media/scrapbook aesthetic so much. It gives such punk DIY vibes :)

Thank you for the comment and the follow! I will slightly disagree on the "this is what web design should be" part though. I know you meant it as a compliment but the absolutely fun thing about the indie web is that everyone's definition of web design is completely different and that is, to me, beautiful.

Started adding volume sliders that appear once the criteria for the hidden play buttons are achieved. I apologize for both the electronics and keyboard pages, the criteria for those two are rough without looking through the source code.

Also, the play button for keyboards is not possible on mobile for uh, meta reasons. But that page also isn't optimized for mobile viewing either so probably don't go there if you're on a phone.

I'm trying to create a widget hosted on neocities but I can't for the life of me get the custom font on the style to be downloaded... I actually already had a widget I've been using but it was only using the correct fonts because they were also set on the page css, through the widget they are not loading at all :(

no idea what's happening, everything else loads fine (images, json, even cursor), it's just font that doesn't load at all, there isn't even an error in the network log, it's just empty... did anyone create an widget here before?

maybe im misreading this but i know neocities locks new accounts down quite a bit. i was running into a bunch of embed/script problems building the citytalk page

How does your widget work? Some things occur to me... it could be CORS, or that the font hasn't propagated yet if your trying to use the widget somewhere else, but I don't know how your widget works

triple check you aren't forgetting the utf encoding at the top of your html. Sounds dumb but I troubleshot my fonts not working for three straight days having forgot to set the encoding before I even wrote a single line of html or css, and the project was done.

Haha, yeah. I know sometimes (read: a lot of the time) these might break people's current button setup, but since my rule for the site is "no images used, code only" it became a requirement for me. Thank you so much for your praise, it means so much coming from you!

P.S. there is a play button to actually play America Online on that page, hidden somewhere. That's the current dumb project, hiding increasingly convoluted play buttons on every site.
