damn a week and i hit my one year anniversary of this site existing (apr 5). i thought i'd have the overhaul done by then but (vaguely gestures to burnout), even so 1 year is wild!!!! yall are so cool im so glad i joined the indie web side of things and get to see so many variety of people and interests and lives and history

sighs i miss being active on here, but i think i've hit a hard burnout in general and it sucks!!! i've been kinda yapping on tumblr and dreamwidth, but otherwise kinda like sitting in a pool of desires to do things and no energy or will to do it. hell:tm:. i did restart my new horizons island though

I feel that desire to do things but not having energy to do them..... been that way for over a year now and I miss being energetic and able to just do fun things when I wanted ;w; It's gotten a bit better tho, so just take your time and rest for now!

next 11ty conversion progress, figured out how to get 11ty to work with werewolf-girlfriend's cool gallery template, so i just have a JSON data file of my art and it gets plopped there with the gallery pop-up + filters working too https://i.ibb.co/zV10zPCB/gallery1-ezgif-com-optimize.gif

omg I'd love to learn how you did it... There are lots of artists I love on tumblr but they mix their own art with their reblogs in one blog, which is fine, but I'd love to put their art tag in an rss feed. Is that what you've done here? 👀👀👀

hahaha ok i can get my rss feed from my tumblr personal tags tho it only spits out 10 posts (cause 10 posts per page), but it's better than nothing. problem is im blanking out so bad on how to show it on my site ... ill ponder it for a bit

god bless https://rss.bloople.net/ for making a JS for spitting out an HTML-d version of a feed. i might figure out a way eventually to host it myself but this works ok for now (i dont have the brain energy to deep dive research rn)

damn, i'd kill to have a microblog on my site but too bad there's no easy way to just pull off my personal tumblr posts to populate it LOOOL (cause i yap there the most, i'd literally have to copy and paste my posts otherwise)

That's exactly what I do with my microblog LOL. I used to post a lot on Twitter, and if I thought something was “relevant,” I'd save it to “Saved Items” and then move it over to my microblog. It's a bit tedious, I'll admit.

Honestly I can see them rolling it back if not from the pushback but from how many things it broke! And with enough people threatening to leave and putting a dent into what money they were earning off of them...yeah. "At least" their tone is clear that they will continue down this path again, just differently

pov watching tumblr lighting itself again on fire by literally making every reblog now the equivalent of a twitter quote tweet (no more shared reblog notes, ppl get their own notes/notifs on reblogs and not OP). hell site (tbf its on fire for many reasons including transphobia but yknow another canister of oil added on top today)

They have addressed the strong reaction from people, so I hope they'll at the very least make it an optional thing the OP of each post can choose to use or not. Better send them feedback through. The more feedback, the more likely they will listen.
