i figured out what it was. apparently i couldn't just use button in brackets and had to use div classes. i know because i changed it and the gradient works

Check its position, if it doesn't work use this and change it with your own values "background-image:linear-gradient(180deg, black -119px, #2f495c, #60809b)"

Try just "background" instead of "background-image"? This is what I have for my gradient BGs and it works: "background: linear-gradient(130deg, rgba(0,0,0,1) 0%, rgba(128,128,128,1) 25%, rgba(61,38,97,1) 50%, rgba(144,29,34,1) 100%);"

if you mean the cat, not sure but it might be because you're linking the image directly from the neocities website instead of hosting it yourself

does anyone know how to make it look like an iframe is playing on a tv? everytime i try to it won't align the way i want it to

You could have relatively positioned div wrap around a 'frame' of a TV (with a transparent screen), then have the tv 'frame' and the iframe be absolutely positioned inside of the wrapper (with the iframe having a z-index lower than the 'frame' image).

does anyone know how to align an iframe within an image? i tried using align-items & justify-content and for some reason it's not working

i think what you want to do is make a div box and then make the background of the div box the image you are wanting. then, place the iframe within the div box. this would be similar to what i have on my fragrance page where the perfume information populates
