I've been building some of my followers custom VR portal worlds with a link to their site instead of putting a webring on mine, and you are the next on my list. How would you like me to theme your world? It will not be overtly fancy or complex, a glorified waiting room that you could use as you please. Provided it doesn't break neo rules, any considerations you put forth will be mandatory in my design for you.

woah I'm speechless, it has been awhile since I last visited your world and I just explored the 404city room, I guess for mine it would just be ascii for walls, if you want to use the ones I have on my site you can find them on my code under div class="splash-screen", section class="ascii-gallery", pre class="background", my colors are #80080 and #330066, but I have some effects with brightness(1.5) and brightness(2)

the animation on the splash screen, and when you turn on the secret text, is the @keyframes chromatic-aberration0 , I mean, if you want for reference, that's a very cool feature you are adding, thanks!

I'm really curious, why do so many NC sites host their images on Catbox instead of on their own NC subdomain?? How does that make sense!?!

Catbox has constant bandwidth problems, those sites full of images hosted there, usually half of them doesn't load for me and I have to reload them individually or keep reloading the page until they all decide to load, also Catbox is known for purging images...

yeah i don't get hosting images either. video and audio? sure. but yeah catbox is a piece of crap. i feel like a broken record but i use file.garden for hosting video and audio and it works just fine.

I use catbox when I just want to send someone an image quickly, and I actually use their litterbox because the image has no use after filegarden inconvenience is having to create an acc :P (but I'm hosting a few videos there now after you suggested it @brachy... whenever I decide to be a nc supporter again I'm uploading them here though)

yeah im using file.garden because i can't trust myself to hold my supporter status for longer than 3 months and i really don't want link rot on my files

personally i think a lot of people need to get in the habit of compressing their images lol i use file garden just for stuff neocities wont support on the free tier

@brachy after support ends you don't lose the files (I pay for support whenever I want to make new subdomains, you don't lose access to them either)

I run a more complicated website with more custom code at more personal expense to me than donations would ever make up and even still, 5 usd per month is affordable, and I am poor.

1GB is plenty for just hosting images. i'd like to think people aren't just uploading 10MB images on a daily basis to make image hosting separate from neocities necessary
