I feel like I need to go more in-depth about Kill The Jockey and Beau Is Afraid because these stories are beautifully unpredictable, yet coherently bound by their cores. But while Kill The Jockey is careful in its approach to unfolding its conclusion and themes the same way the character is careful in picking up bits and bobs off of the street to put away, Beau Is Afraid is like a harrowing train wreck

If anyone's been experiencing a large amount of flickering on my blog, I'm so sorry! It used to be a subtle crt effect. I don't know what's making it do the flashing shapes now. I'll have to fix it tomorrow

Actually it wrecked a long time ago but as one car crashes off the cliffs another is added to the tail end and so you see this never ending sequence of violence and disaster. And it's all on purpose, though you wouldn't think it.
Beau Is Afraid showed me art can be so deliciously harrowing! It reminded me I don't owe anyone common sense if it doesn't serve the story.
