Most spare pages are totally done and 1 genre page complete after several hours of frustration! Only 9 more genre pages with 148 more songs to go... and perhaps a 10th page will all available songs duplicated... I'm going to bed.

The redesign gives me a lot more space to play with additions, so I'm pondering what new pages might be cool to add. (Yes, I am a constant victim of feature creep.) Considering a blog section where I could expand on why I added certain tracks or if there was anything interesting I found out about the band/artist, add that information in a more visible place than this feed. Thoughts?

Similarly, I'd post it there if I had discount/free codes to hand out or like we had with Agony's demo, an Internet Archive link for music that is harder to find/in danger of being lost. Speaking of - look out, because there's a few albums/demos from the 80s and 90s that I am going to be uploading for preservation as well, as they are nowhere else to be found but YouTube and that is SCARY!

While working on the update, I discovered THE PALE RIDERS is associated with an openly NSBM artist. After 5 years, we have our first official removal due to Nazi punks... honestly surprised it took this long! Will keep an eye out while combing over the others.

Issue is, I have 146 songs currently and need to look them up all over, one by one... that's where help comes in! I have to manually put in all of the information I currently have on the website, so I will reply to your email when that spreadsheet is ready for volunteers to work on. :) The info I am looking for help with grabbing is stuff like country of origin, language of song, a few links, etc. It is simple, but very tedious at this number... even if you only do one song, it is greatly appreciated!! Um, hi! So weird, but you def know more about this kind of music than me? I love 90s and 2000s Lacuna Coil and Evanescence, is there like something incorporating synthwave elements into that kind of music?

I don't listen to them but from the 2 or 3 songs I have heard I'd say your best bet is the gothic metal genre. It's still metal (sometimes more like hard rock) but will usually have more synth in it. I don't listen to much but two popular bands are Tiamat and Paradise Lost. You might also have luck with some doom metal, but a majority won't hit it so if you want to explore...!

Trying to mock-up a redesign for the site. Listening on D&O is a functionality I want to 100% keep for convenience, so I'm trying to figure that out. How do we feel about the songs being on separate pages for each main genre (e.g. goth, stoner, black metal) with filters for subgenres (e.g. new wave, stoner rock, DSBM)? Would this make the site less easy to use or more searchable for y'all? Please let me know :D
