Hot take but the people who spend tons of money on fandom merch are worse than the Stanley girls cuz yeah she doesn't need tons of cups or decorations but at least she uses them and coordinates them with her outfit colors. The dudes buying fandom merch are just leaving them there and not using or playing with them.

I like bright colors but also warm ones and beige is warm! So I like it too. That's why you see my text color is dark brown not black, and my text background color is warm off-white not white

Exactly. Also like overconsumption isn't this inexcusable crime, we've all had times where we bought too many stuff we didn't need, it's normal. It's just be more mindful when buying. Whatever you don't use, give it away to someone who might like it or commit to using it to its fullest without wasting if it's still good.

Also, it helps to ask if you really need or want this, or if you only want it because it's trending, it's niche, you're hyperfixated (neurotypical people can be hyperfixated too it's just less severe), or as a status symbol. And tbh I view collecting as borderline if not exactly overconsumption too, even though people who whine about overconsumption insist they're different

For example, if you actually use the things in your collections it might not be overconsumption (though if you spend a lot or have way too much it is overconsumption) but a lot of toy collectors don't even play with them. Also, even then there's no reason to have so many things when a small collection will do.

I mention (in tiny text on the Free Stickers page how that one is a little bit of a cheat! There's open PO boxes to several American bases in Antarctica that you can just mail stuff to at https://www.nsf.gov/od/opp/antarctic-stamp-collecting. It's mainly for stamp collectors but I sent them a sticker to see what would happen. It takes over a year for a reply apparently so fingers crossed I'll hear back in 2027!! lmao

I won a million dollars. I got the motivation to tap dance while playing the digeridoo in Botswana at 5:37PM. My dog was cured from platypus cancer and my platypus was cured from dog cancer.
