choice of theme/sub-genre of the books they do is quite limited - apart from Subterranean Press, alot of these companies avoid male authors and high fantasy and concentrate on narrow themes while marketing themselves by saying that they cover all the genre.

Dear Facebook, ads are annoying. Promoting groups and pages to me that I don't follow are annoying. If I was interested in them, I would be following them and I'm not. All this promoting does is ensure that they get blocked. (I don't have a problem with the group/page itself, but I don't want to see it popping up randomly on my timeline.) Facebook is becoming unusable.

They need to make things safe for predestinations to access them, as well. During the 90's and early 2000s, I walked all over the place with my first collie in the village where I grew up. For Max (and Colin), in particular, it was bad because both of them were scared of traffic and having cars and worse, lorries trundling down roads with no space for pedestrians was a night mare. Where we live now, you can't access countryside areas without loads of traffic being in the way, and one area I found was blocked off, so it's a road nightmare. I started listening to the first of the Scholomance books by Noami Novik. It's not as bad as I expected, but not that great either... I would say that it's middling. It's well written enough to keep my attention but there isn't a lot of depth to the characters. I think if you've read and enjoyed the Harry Potter books, you expect everything to be of a similar depth, both character-wise and world building wise.

I've got both books from the library now as I picked the next one up today. Observation: the font in hardbacks is larger and easier to read, so in future, I'm going to have to get the hardback editions of books if I want to read them. Which is great because either: They are more expensive. Not every book has a hardback edition.

Are alcohol markers worth the money? Last year, when I was packing to move, I marked my boxes with black marker pens (some were sharpies, some were a popular brand called Ohuhu) so I knew what was in them. expecting the fade to be that dramatic. It begs the question: is it ethical for a company like the producers of Copic to charge so much for their markers? Will we lose vast amounts of art to fading? There are copies, of course, printed, digital, etc, but none of them will be the original and it will be gone.

I've moved a load of stuff from the room where I want to get the bookcases for so that I've got room to put the bookcases up, and found a load of stuff I'd lost track of. Apparently, there is a bag of clothes that I need to go through, and I'd actually thought that I'd gone through everything. Joy! The clothes get on my nerves to be honest... So, I have some books lined up for reading - Turning Darkness into Light by Marie Brennen The Emily Wilde Series by Heather Fawcett The Scholomance by Naomi Novik (I'm not certain that I will like this series - I love Novik's Temeraire series, but I've not enjoyed her other books that much, plus it has teenage characters in it and I suspect it's one of those YA inspired books which I dislike, but I'm giving it a
