Do you also look at some sites here, thinking how awesome and creative they are and then, you look at yours being awful and boring? I kinda loose motivation because of it. I have no idea what can I do to make mine cool

I slightly have this issue. As purposeful and deliberate my site seems to be, it's done that way to hide a lot of my artistic deficits. I do not have the patience to learn advanced drawing or music or other new hobbies that would definitely enrich my life, but I know some things, and I polish what I have to the best it can be, and just hope for the best when I send it out. Being "lazy in style" if you will lol

to me the spirit of the indie web is in its unashamed amateurishness. sometimes a "poorly" produced site has more character than a "well" produced one. your site has a lot of character. :)

BIG UPDATE: Learnt some JS finally and updated the gallery! Now you can go through images in the image viewer. Along it, remade the viewer for the better. (scroll down on the image to see its description if you don't see it!) And some other gallery changes for the better

(mazapándust --> adiósmazzy) in the process of overhauling my site name + every link affiliated with it. this is gonna take forever but i think it's for the best - i haven't felt like i could confidently move forward with any new projects while still using the name created for my méxico-specific projects. stay tuned as i'll be making new buttons + breaking a shit ton of links in the days to follow.

really contemplating changing my whole URL/site name. i have been mazapán dust online for 7 years but feel like it keeps me too tied to who i was in mexico despite no longer living there. have you ever changed your whole site name and how did it go for you?

i changed my website's name a year ago, and it was one of the best decisions i've made. i identify with the current name so much more, and i think it fits my site's content much better. it was a bit of a hassle letting all my mutuals know about the button swap and everything, but it was absolutely worth it. if i hadn't changed it, it would probably still be bothering me today.

thanks for the insight guys :D @nanacore that's all the exact stuff i'm struggling with myself. plus external site accounts are all consolidated with this name (like email and reddit) and can't be changed without making a new account. but i def feel like i've outgrown it
