Hey there! I've attempted to join your webring, but despite following the instruction in the verification page (putting the .txt in my root folder, etc), the webpage continuously showed that I failed the verification. I've tried reuploading the txt, hard refreshing, etc, but I just ended up being told I'm 'banned'. Could you please take a look and lmk if there's any mistakes on my part or on the site? much thanks!

i constantly see drama like "oh blah blah blah stole my code/copied my layout" but like. the thing is it's code and there's finite things to do with it really. now if you steal my drawings or music and claim as your own i'll be mad but code? get outta here. if stealing mine teaches you more about coding then i've done my job

Unironically I probably wouldn’t even have started a site if it weren’t you, now (though on a break) I’m reworking my site to use my own layout :D But I will always give credit where it due!
That drama was so confusing when I saw it soon after joining. Years programming for a living and I'm yet to see a dev that doesn't copy code. It's almost our daily routine lol
i think its weird people get so guarded over every aspect of their code. i saw someone go as far as to have developer tools disabled on their site n its like "that's so excessive."
like i hate to be the guy who is like "yeah its no big deal if 13 year olds are looking at other people's code to figure it out" but also like... idk, learning from doing at that age will get you further than the w3c tutorials. thats what we all did in early 00s anyways.
