In the event that any irl Cincinnati residents are following me on Neocities (I mean, its possible), im hoping to have issue 2 of Gainful Employment available for purchase in its entirety at Indie North Kentucky, for Independent Bookstore Day 2026. She's probably ok. At least I hope. She mentioned that she was thinking about deleting her site and that's probably what happened. I will miss her :(

Oh I've been on her website before, didn't interact with her but it looks like the website is down so it's been deleted, I've had an irl acquaintance find my website and ask me about one of the things I made but didn't care about the scalie-ness of me anyways, but I hope she's okay

Johnny Somali victim officially asked prosecutor to appeal for longer sentence. Makes it more likely that they'll succeed. LegalMindset suggests that's an automatic extra 6 month for the process whether they succeed or not but idk, why wouldn't the process go forward while he's in prison? Hopefully they just win.

Worst gaming top 10 list I've ever seen. And call me an old fart but close to half of those I'd struggle to even classify as video games holistically, as they're more like shitty Hollywood cutscenes yoked together via "gameplay segments." Visuals novels and corny old Sega CD FMV titles actually possess the "gaming" je ne sais quoi in way the new God of War or whatever never will.

Recently found out from brachypelmide that I'm following 192 people. The cool thing about that is that it's actually not overwhelming at all, because most people don't update their site every single day. If I was following 192 people on a standard social app where people can't really do anything but post, I would probably be drowning

this is so real, im following so many people because i genuinely like their sites and want to see when they update, but my feed is not at all overhwelming. granted some people have not updated their site in years, but if they do come back I'll still be able to see it!

I like it because it’s a much more realistic depiction of a creative process. Social media encourages it to be fast and perfect but this format lays out a nice realistic timeline
