HAHA GOOD NEWS figured out a way to squeak in styling and scripts per page basis. its a little weird but you can set up a {{ styles | safe }} portion in the base template like this example: https://github.com/11ty/eleventy/discussions/2506

On second thought, another idea. You don't need to make a page use a layout if you don't want to, so if you just have a regular HTML file with your one-off style and no front matter, 11ty will just copy it over as-is.

problem is i tend to use the same layout, its more for one off tiny things like… my games layout on my about page or the table i use on my bookmarks :think:

11ty is definitely making me feel stupid in trying to just remake my random quote generator using a JSON file and trying to spit it out thru JS into the nunjucks template for a blockquote ...

huh ... fuckin around with 11ty and its actually not ... too bad...? i managed to recreate my test style i did last night. i still need to figure out how it'd handle minor local CSS stuff (cause some pages i have one-off CSS that i dont use anywhere else so i just put it in a style tag) but i can see the appeal of it for sites

Hmm, for one-off style tags... my first thought is moving each to its own CSS file, then specifying in the front matter of the page if it should pull in a different CSS. Could be better ways, but yeah, kinda tricky.

sometimes i toy with the idea of going to a simpler layout like this but i'd be losing out on the decorative goodies i like ... at least it kinda scratched some itch to work on a layout, even if its just a simplified version of my current one: https://i.ibb.co/MDbN8rb1/image.png (actually maybe not i am genuinely considering maybe changing it to this, but idk how id organize my dinkies like my dragcave pixels)

ok ... i did end up adding a little box to my friend's book on the index. ended up archiving some pages i havent updated in quite a little bit (mostly my minecraft forever world, food log, microblog, and sims 3 legacy). they'll most likely return when i pick them up again, but i need to clear my site a lil bit of WIP pages rn :pensive:

i made a lil section promoing my friends on my neighbors page. how i think of it is that a big part of the indie web is removing the need for an algorithm, and this is a great way to direct people to other content they may like in an intentional, human way!

at least all my projects are backed up and neocities doesnt take up much space, but it's annoying to hold back on installing and organizing all my games and projects so i can leave space for my OS/more vital programs
