it's about oldweb graphics archival and how like, we really only concentrate on a handful of things and just kind of dismiss or don't even bring up the others. so i uh, brought up the others hopefully to get other people interested in this stuff. there's a lot of cool things people do not do anymore and i REALLY wanna highlight them all. please feel free to let me know if i've missed anything (prob tons tbh)

this is like half related but i noticed a lot of old graphics archival is extremely gatekeepy. i got yelled at on tumblr for expressing wanting to upload some vintage yugioh pixels to my graphics site (graphy on neocities) and they went off on me like "well i spent so much time finding them so don't reupload" and then they accused me of sending them anon hate later and blocked me. then i reuploaded them

oh my god yes the thing about fanlisting sites!! i've actually been really wanting to make a couple pages or even a landing page like it ever since i discovered fanlisting sites and thought "yes... this is what i wanted to make!"

honestly with the amount of dead fanlistings out there, i think it's so worth it to go back and make new ones. i've had a few on my mind that i really want to take a stab at myself, and there's quite a few others where i can't help but look at it and be like "i wonder what the previous fanlisting for this character was like."

like some of the one piece fanlistings have barely any fans n its like, there's no way... 1p has been around since 97. theres no way the amount of fans for these characters is so small. like i think luffy's recent one legit went down as well. also the fact that we don't have a current roxas one from kingdom hearts last i saw is like, startling.

hard agree, there's surprisingly little fanlisting for characters or shows that i thought would have 100% have one for their popularity back then. there's no fanlisting for lucky star and surprisingly little for naruto too

Thanks for the follow! Your media page is really cool. I've been using Kitsu to keep track of anime I've watched, but it feels like that site inches closer to shutting down every day; using my site to track of stuff never crossed my mind for some reason. You've inspired me to consider making my own media page (when I have time anyway, there's a lot on my list ahaha)
