Here is best for neocities profiles or if you like others outside of to see, the guestbook is ok too. I'm still trying to figure out what's the best option for everyone. :)

@transwolfman I prefer talking on others' profiles, there's times I like to steer away from the social side of Neocities and that's why I wrote over there at the guestbook.... I guess it's personal preference, gotta figure it out too

@radicalblur That's understandable, I get it since I'm kinda the same way. It depends on what and how long my message is. The site review on the guestbook was very nice, thanks. That was a good place for it actually. Now that we have dark mode, DMs when? lol

@transwolfman Direct messages would be...... fun? I was thinking about having a public e-mail up on my 'site for that since I miss e-mail, no one e-mails anymore :( Still debating with myself on that, but I want it to be more of a e-mail just to have fun with...... not any boring "important" stuff on it

@radicalblur I think a public e-mail is a great idea. I made one myself with the same idea in mind, a separate e-mail just for fun things that I'd like to stay closer attention to and get away from the messiness of spam. Direct messages are neat having a quick back and forth convo for folks who many not wanna display their e-mail. Receiving some e-mail from real people is awesome though and people should do it more.

But thank you, that really encourages me to put the mailbox up when I get to it I think I'd have to write about this some time; ever since I joined here, I've met people that not only have similar interests as me but actually accept me as who I am. The thing about having a website is that it's your own place, the people that don't care won't -

For me, it's something I've never really felt before because of having to "fit in" with this group, or this community, or this online chat, or...... the whole concept of social media in general because it limits how people express themselves Yeah...... - only things that are considered "outdated" and that people don't do anymore........ but things that people feel..... I don't think 'embarrassed' is really the word but more of a "people won't like this, so why should I do it?" ....... because that's how social media wants you to think And that's *really* limited people over the years...... just want to see if there's something new I can do

My 'site used to be in an iframe system but I didn't like how flexible it was..... and that's how I got to the system I have now ........I could make it abrupt and slowly fade in or continue where it was last, surprises me how web development's gone far but they *still* don't have an ability for something like this

This reminds me of the Dreamcast, they used ADX files and those files had a feature that would allow loops. I do not recall but I do know it has been done with MP3 files and possibly I've done it with a FLAC file. A recent slot machine I hacked (to be covered in a future article on my site) definitely exploits that feature and their stuff is all MP3 files. I would do it in the audio file itself first

Ditto on lemerks' opinion, but I'd also add if you can change volume. There are plenty of websites that allow that through custom players or by just plopping the file on the page. Although I feel like getting people to listen to ambience is hard these days, when browsers disable autoplay by default.

@sonic2k Whew......... haven't been on here in a while, I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE ADX files and I've always wondered if there's ever a way gain support for Cri-Ware's audio format on the web in a hacky way or natively or whatever.... I think I remember seeing a repository about it where someone was getting it running with Javascript But that's interesting stuff? Looking forward to your article!

I bet this is something I'd consider far in the future, I'm already trying to figure out my website's layout all over again ^ Agree with Vladimir, I'd definitely make the volume a *reasonable level* but having a slider would also be a good thing Yeah..... it would definitely be an optional setting, I'm planning on having a settings menu for the 'site where you can adjust those sorts of extra things. It *could* be -

- a scenario where someone decides to turn on Autoplay while viewing my 'site and boom! SOUND...... but I'd have an option in that *future settings menu* where you could shut it off...... and then there's me wanting to balance out my 'site and not have a whole load of scripts, even if they're minified I really like that idea of importing whatever song you'd like

Sure! I know...... the links page is a mess and I don't like how it looks either with white text on an ORANGE background but I'll get to that!

I've been restricting myself in a way because I wanted my web pages to support EVERY BROWSER IN THE WORLD...... but I eventually learned that I need to let go and..... I can't do that I'll still optimize things but I'm thinking about going crazy with what I could do.... what's a 'site without anything fun in it? I love CSS animations and the things you can do with websites compared to 10 or 20 years ago

One of the things I think about doing is getting rid of the whole profile for this website because I don't like the concept of attention with social media, the positive side I see to it is meeting new people and suggesting things, commenting. I feel held back and I've been holding myself back on exploring websites because I feel as if I need to finish one of the internet adventures before I even continue

Of course I don't *have* to look at that aspect with the profile and I don't but it might be a problem; I'm not sure I'm not sure of what I want to do at this point, I haven't been feeling creative — it's got to be one of the worst feelings in the world. I hope this changes

....and it makes me really sad because I remember seeing his channel when it was online, I still remember the moment - and when I went to write about it; first, I couldn't find the video I watched and then realized his account and channel got hijacked ^ And it's been a month since he posted that video I linked, that whole situation just sounds frustrating to me.... I feel terrible for the guy

I think a way you could do it is by putting a comment on the top of the script saying smt like "Hey this script is minified, if you want a more readable script you can check out the full sized one by removing min from the script!" Kinda defeats the purpose of not downloading comments but one shouldnt be too bad right?

@lemerks I like that idea! Who cares if I wasted a kilobyte of space and loading time from writing that? - "NOOOOO MY PRECIOUS BANDWIDTH!!!" - That could help people but I don't think that really dives into the whole concept of what side is for which. So I like to view it as that box model you can find on that page I feel that I presented it in a good way - at least it does make sense and click for me, but I just hope it helps other people If you or anyone's got a better way to present it though, feel free to correct me!

I've been holding myself on visiting websites for a long while because I want to continue the Internet Adventures stuff I do, but I don't think it's healthy for me to do that...... I used to watch those kinds of videos a long, long time ago and I like how people are still doing it - but it hasn't appealed to me since I was younger? Still not sure why, maybe I'd just need to give it all a look again?
