Small update: I pulled the MC-101 from the Device Museum and put a pretty big rant on the PO-33. Long story short- if you've ever heard of music grooveboxes or hardware samplers and they sound even slightly cool, be very very very careful to not catch G.A.S.

the pocket operators are so neat. GAS is real, i got my knockout and had it for a month before copping the tonic...then the op1..then a 404...then my mpc... i dont even make cool music man wth

i have the Pocket Operator sub, arcade, and office (this was back before they ramped up the price to like 99 for the arcade?? it's not THAT versatile like the K.O.). i've had fun using them for music in the past but i am definitely stopping myself from buying the rest; teenage engineering's practices disappoint me

Is anyone having issues with Neocities? If so, are you on Firefox? I'm on Brave and haven't had issues so far, but the amount of people saying they see errors is spiking unbelievably. ------------------------- UPDATE: It's not the browser, it might be happening to European users only. See comments below

To be clear I dont want to fault anyone using Firefox, I was just wondering if that was the cause. Someone else confirmed in another post that it's NOT Firefox-related, I just have no idea why I haven't seen the errors myself yet

firefox. ive been seeing 500s recently as well. first it was secure connection errors, now its those AND 500-codes

You know what- it might be related to one of their CDN nodes. (https://status.neocities.org/) The common factor I see in everyone posting about the errors is that they're in Europe

I'm so excited to make a story/audiobook/novel/whatever for the other tablings now! They're going to be the testing ground before I attempt even bigger stories (with taller characters.) isn't it crazy how there exists this internal pressure to update so consistently? like, this is the slow web. there's no algorithm (save for the neocities "front page" but that barely counts), no rush, and it's not unusual for people go months between updates. and yet i get that urge to update as frequently as i can, too. it's very strange

@skigothy Thought about this for a while, I think it's good to want to update somewhat frequently- the thing that the slow web should NOT be pressuring people to do is to consistently feel the need to out-do your previous site additions
